Recently, the 7-day YES Program and Sino-French University Student Cultural Exchange Event successfully held at DUFL. More than 50 staffs and students from ISTEC and DUFL spent a memorable wonderful time together.

Exploring Chinese traditional culture was a highlight of this event. In the tea ceremony class, French students got knowledge of how to make tea and practiced what they have learned on their own, with the fragrance of tea lingering. In the calligraphy class, participants dipped their brushes in ink and wrote on Chinese Xuan Paper, marveling at the exquisite structure of Chinese characters. Through these courses, they immersed in the elegance of Chinese lifestyle and were longing for oriental civilization. Cultural barriers were successfully broken down. The group also visited history museum of DUFL, Lvshun Museum, High-tech Park Science and Technology Exhibition Hall, Lvshun New Port and Dalian Urban Planning Exhibition Center, getting to know and understand China from multiple perspectives. Under the guidance of the professionals, emergency training and fire drills are carried out, including first aid knowledge and disaster-dealing essentials, for better response to emergencies.
At the farewell party, staff and student representatives from both sides shared their feedbacks on the YES Program and many were enthusiastic about talent-showing. They hope Sino-French communication and cooperation can be further developed and are willing to work together for a better tomorrow.

As the first institution to undertake the Liaoning YES Program, DUFL aimed to facilitate in-depth dialogue between the youth and deepen education cooperation between the two countries with the Youth Envoys Scholarship Program. We would like to take culture as the bridge and friendship as the sail, navigating in the long river of Sino-French friendship.
